Breathing in Confinement – Behnam Ebrahimzadeh, imrpsisoned labor activist in Rajai Shahr prison in Karaj was sent on leave.
According to the reports obtained by “Breathing in Confinement,” Behnam Ebrahimzadeh, imprisoned member of the committee to follow up the establishment of independent trade unions, was sent to furlough on the bail of 6000 million IRR for 4 days, in the afternoon of July 12.
A source close to the family of this children’s rights activist, in an interview in this regard told “Breathing in Confinement’s” reporter: “Behnam Ebrahimzadeh was sent on leave. He will go immediately to the MAHAK hospital to seek treatment for his ill son. He is going to Uromieh to help his mother who has been admitted in Imam Khomeini hospital in this city due to her severe illness and transfer her home in Oshnavieh.”
Behnam Ebrahimzadeh, who previously had been sentenced to five years in prison, was sentenced to another 7 years, 10 months and 15 days imprisonment on charges of gathering and colluding to commit crimes against internal and external security and propaganda against the regime in August 2015 while he was in prison.
