Breathing in Confinement – On Saturday, 7 June 2025, at least six protest gatherings and demonstrations were held across various parts of Iran.

According to the Statistics Centre of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, Breathing in Confinement, the gatherings were held by Khuzestan Water and Wastewater employees, heavy machinery owners in Shahr-e Kord, Esteghlal football team supporters, Shahin Khodro order holders, residents of Chahar Deh village, and residents of Hezar Masjed in Mashhad, all protesting the lack of response to their demands.

Workers of the Khuzestan Water and Wastewater Company in Ahvaz gathered outside the Governor’s Office, protesting job insecurity and the failure to implement the job classification scheme.

Heavy machinery owners in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province parked their equipment outside the Governor’s Office in Shahr-e Kord to protest the fuel quota cuts since March and the authorities’ neglect of their demands.

A group of Esteghlal Football Club supporters gathered outside the club’s headquarters to protest the club’s poor management. Police forces clashed with the protesters during the demonstration.

Order holders of Shahin Khodro vehicles from the SAIPA company gathered in front of the Ministry of Industry and Mines to protest the non-delivery of their cars, despite having paid the price increase, more than six months past the scheduled delivery date.

Residents of Chahar Deh village in Falard gathered in front of the local governor’s office to protest the authorities’ neglect of the area’s infrastructural and service-related problems.

Residents of Hezar Masjed in Mashhad held a protest against the proposed water transfer project from their region to Mashhad, citing concerns about potential harm to local water resources.
