Nationwide uprising: Court of Appeal upholds Pegah Sadat Fakhrai’s verdict

Breathing in Confinement: Pegah Sadat Fakhrai’s verdict was upheld by the appeals court. Ms. Fakhraei is one of the detainees during the nationwide uprising. She was sentenced by Tehran Revolutionary Court to 5 years of imprisonment, 2 years of exile, driving ban, ban on leaving the country, forced labor and confiscation of her car and her cell phones for the benefit of the government.

 

According to “Breathing in Confinement”, the news organ of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, Pegah Sadat Fakhraei, one of the detainees during the recent nationwide uprising, was sentenced to imprisonment as well as other punishments.

 

According to the verdict issued by Branch 26 of the Tehran Revolutionary Court headed by Judge Afshari, Pegah has been sentenced to 5 years of imprisonment, 2 years of exile from Tehran, 2 years of driving ban and ban on leaving the country, forced labor in Niayesh Hospital, and confiscation of her father’s car and her own mobile phone for the benefit of the government. The verdict has been upheld by the Court of Appeal in Tehran Province.
