Farzaneh Ansarifar receives a sentence of 4 years and 6 months in prison

Breathing in Confinement: Farzaneh Ansarifar, sister of Farzad Ansarifar, one of the protesters killed in the November 2019 uprisings, was sentenced by Branch 1 of the Revolutionary Court in Bandar Mahshahr to 4 years and 6 months in prison.
According to “Breathing in Confinement”, the news organ of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, Farzaneh Ansarifar, a citizen of Behbahan and the sister of Farzad Ansarifar, one of the protesters killed in the November 2019 uprisings, was sentenced to prison by the Revolutionary Court in Bandar Mahshahr.
As per the verdict issued by Branch 1 of the Revolutionary Court in Bandar Mahshahr, Ms. Ansarifar was sentenced to 4 years and 6 months in prison on charges of “gathering and colluding against national security as well as propaganda against the regime.”
If the sentence is upheld on appeal, she will be sentenced to three years and six months in prison on charges of “conspiracy and collusion against national security.”
The trial of Farzaneh Ansarifar was held on February 2, this year, in Branch 1 of the Revolutionary Court in Bandar Mahshahr.
Arman Ansarifar, Farzaneh’s brother and Amin Ansarifar, her father, have also been recently arrested by security forces.
The first hearing of Ms. Ansarifar in another case, and that of some other citizens was held on December 26, 2021, in Branch 103 of the 2nd Criminal Court of Behbahan, presided over by Judge Rasoul Rasouli Nejad. Her second hearing was also held on February 16 in the same branch.
