Breathing in Confinement: According to the news received from Tabriz Prison, on Thursday, March 26, the prisoners rioted and clashed with the security guards.
On Thursday, the prisoners in wards 7 and 9 in Tabriz prison, protested and rioted against denial of their right for being granted a furlough and refusal of the authorities to enforce the Amnesty Directive following the Covid-19 epidemic, as well as lack of quarantine rules for newcomers. And security guards fired at them inside the prison, Breathing in Confinement reported.
Tabriz prison is now surrounded by security forces and all roads leading to Tabriz prison are blocked and gunfire is still heard from inside the prison.
