Kamil Ahmadi sentenced to 8 years in prison

Breathing in Confinement, December 14, 2020: Kamil Ahmadi, a writer, anthropologist and social problem researcher in Tehran, was sentenced to eight years in prison.
According to the Kurdistan Center for Democracy and Human Rights, Kamil Ahmadi, on charges of “collaborating with a hostile government,” was sentenced to eight years in prison by Branch 15 of the Revolutionary Court of Tehran.
Mr. Ahmadi had been arrested by security forces on August 11, 2019, and later on Monday, November 18, 2019, was released from Evin Prison on bail of 500 million Tomans awaiting the court’s decision.
Mr. Ahmadi’s lawyer, has appealed the ruling.
