Breathing in Confinement – Khaled Hardani, Political prisoners in Rajai Shahr prison, Karaj, was transferred to the prison clinic due to his health deterioration.

According to the report of “Breathing in Confinement”, on the night of 18th July, he was transferred to Rajai Shahr prison’s clinic due to his health deterioration while he was semiconscious but he was returned back into the ward 12 because there were no medical facilities.

A source who requested anonymity, in this regard told“Breathing in Cinfinement”: “Khaled Hardani suffers from severe stomach ulcers, as prison clinic has confirmed that he should be transferred to Medical Centres, outside the prison but officials have not yet allowed this.”

Khaled Hardan who has been in prison from 15 years ago, without a leave so far, is accused with hijacking on the way between Ahvaz and Bandar Abbas, Iran.

According to the detainees confess, this had been due to poverty and inadequate living conditions.

The court convicted Khaled Hardani along with two of his relatives, named, Shahram Mansoori and Farhang Mansoori to death but, the sentence was converted to life imprisonment with a commutation. Rasool Hardani, brother of Khaled Hardan, and other defendants in the same court were sentenced to life imprisonment.

Shahram Mansoori, Farhang Mansoori and Rasool Hardani, were under 18 at the time of arrest.
