Breathing in Confinement: On April 7, about 30 family members of those killed in the November 2019 protests were arrested on their way back from visiting Sardar Asaad Bakhtiari’s tomb in Isfahan and transferred to Isfahan Prison. They however, were released a day later on April 8.
According to Breathing in Confinement, the news organ of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, on April 8, the family members of the victims of the November 2019 protests, who had been detained on their way back from visiting Sardar Asaad Bakhtiari’s tomb in Isfahan, were released from prison.
Among the detainees were Manouchehr Bakhtiari and Nahid Shirbisheh, the parents of Pouya Bakhtiari who was killed in the November 2019 protests in Karaj, as well as Sakineh Ahmadi, the mother of Ebrahim Katabdar,  another victim of November 2019 protests.  Along with them also was Hourieh Farajzadeh Tarani the sister of Shahram Farajzadeh who was killed in December 2018 protests.
It needs to be mentioned that, in his recent stance, the parliamentary deputy of Interior Minister referred to the November 2019 protesters as “thugs” and denied the interior minister’s responsibility for killing them. Whereas, Mahmoud Sadeghi, a former member of parliament, in an interview, vide of which has been widely broadcasted on social media, quoted Ali Shamkhani as saying, “The argument is over, whoever it is, we will kill” and thus confessing to the brutal killing of people in the streets during November 2019 protests.
