Breathing in Confinement: On Wednesday, July 31, 2024, a week after the arrest of Ali Adinezadeh, the father of Abolfazl Adinezadeh, one of the victims of the 2022 uprising in Ghuchan, no information has been provided to his family about his whereabouts or the reason for his arrest.

According to “Breathing in Confinement,” the news organ of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, on Wednesday, July 24, Ali Adinezadeh, the justice-seeking father of Abolfazl Adinezadeh, was arrested in Ghuchan. Although more than a week has passed since his arrest, his family has not been informed of his whereabouts or condition.

On Wednesday, July 24, Ali Adinezadeh was arrested and taken to the central prison of Ghuchan after being summoned for investigation to the General and Revolutionary Prosecutor’s Office in Ghuchan.

It should be noted that in recent days, Ali Adinezadeh had received a notification asking him to appear before this judicial branch to defend himself against accusations of “spreading falsehoods with the intention of disturbing the public mind” and “propaganda against the government.”

Earlier, Marzieh Adinezadeh, sister of Abolfazl Adinezadeh, wrote on social media regarding her father’s summons to the prosecutor’s office: “My father was summoned to the Ghuchan Revolutionary Prosecutor’s Office on charges of spreading lies, disturbing the public mind, and propagandizing against the regime. The evidence for these accusations was my father’s post on his Instagram page about the release of my brother Reza Babrnejad.”

Today, the wife of Mr. Adinezadeh expressed her concern by publishing a video about unawareness of her husband’s condition as well as his whereabouts. Mrs. Adinezadeh says in this video: “Instead of finding my child’s killer, you arrested my husband.
