To serve his 2 year sentence, Alireza Nouri, a member of the Iranian Writers Association, was arrested and transferred to Isfahan Prison

Breathing in Confinement: Alireza Nouri, a poet, writer and member of the Iranian Writers Association, receiving a summon to serve his two-year sentence, was arrested on June 23, on his visit to Branch 5 of Isfahan Court and was transferred to Isfahan Prison.
According to Breathing in Confinement, the news organ of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, Mr. Nouri wrote on his Instagram page on June 22: “A summon for serving 2 years in prison; today I received a call to appear in Branch 5 of Sentence Implementation Court. Two years in prison on delusive and false charges of insulting the sacred, insulting the regime…”
“Our crime is writing, and they are afraid of the word. I am going there tomorrow. Do not doubt that freedom and truth will soon overcome tyranny and ignorance.”
It is noteworthy that Ali Reza Nouri’s case was opened in October 2016 and after interrogation was referred to the court. In June 2017, on charges of “insulting the sacred”, Nouri was tried in Branch 104 of the Criminal Court in Hamadan, to be sentenced to two years in prison.
