Breathing in Confinement — At least two prisoners who had been arrested on the charge of “murder” and sentenced to death were transferred to solitary confinement in the prisons of Khorramabad and Jiroft for the implementation of their sentences.
According to reporters from Breathing in Confinement, the news outlet of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, on Monday, 17 November 2025, two prisoners in Khorramabad and Jiroft prisons were moved to solitary confinement in preparation for execution. The identities of these prisoners have been verified by Breathing in Confinement and are being withheld.
Annual Report on Executions in Iran
According to the annual report by the Statistics Centre of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, at least 1,170 individuals were executed in Iran in 2024. Among them, six people were executed in public, and the executed also included 38 women and 9 juvenile offenders.
