Nationwide uprising: Unwariness of the condition of Fatemeh Dehkhoda  detained by the security forces in Isfahan

Breathing in Confinement: Fatemeh Dehkhoda, a computer software engineering student at Mohajer University in Isfahan (Isfahan Women’s University), has been detained and transferred to an unknown location since November 19, 2022, and no information has so far been released about her condition.

 

According to “Breathing in Confinement”, the news organ of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, 19-year-old Fatemeh Dehkhoda, a computer engineering student at Mohajer University in Isfahan, was arrested on Saturday night, November 19, 2022, during the protests in Isfahan and was taken to an unknown location.

 

“Fatemeh Dehkhoda is a computer engineering (software) student who was arrested on Saturday night, and so far, there is no information about her whereabouts or the detaining entity, and her family is under severe stress. Fatima’s mother died many years ago,” said an informed source to the reporter of Breathing in Confinement.

 

The nationwide uprising in Iran started after the killing of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini from Saqqez by the agents of the Morality Police on September 16 and has spread to more than 200 cities so far. During the protests, according to the statistics announced by the authorities of the Islamic Republic, as well as the unofficial statistics collected by human rights activists, more than 30,000 people have been arrested. The Statistics Center of the prisoners’ Rights League in Iran has identified more than 500 protesters killed by the security forces during these protests.
