After 58 Days Of Solitary, Misagh Yazdannezhad’s Case Sent To The Court

Breathing in Confinement – The case of Misagh Yazdannezhad, political prisoner who has been held in solitary confinement since 58 days ago, was referred to Tehran’s Revolutionary Court.
According to the reporters of “Breathing in Confinement”, this students activist who is serving the ninth year of his imprisonment in Rajai Shahr prison in Karaj, on the pretext of being transferred to hospital, was transferred from this ward to solitary confinement in Evin Prison’s Ward 2-A, on 26th October, and since then there is no information regarding his situation.
One of his relatives, in a conversation with a reporter of “Breathing in Confinement” acknowledged that “A new case has been formed against him, and was referred to Branch 26 of Tehran’s Revolutionary Court.”
Misagh Yazdannezhad, earlier, had been arrested on 10th September 2007, for participating in the ceremony of the nineteenth anniversary of the massacre of political prisoners in the summer of 1988, and subsequently, he was sentenced to 13 years imprisonment.
The verdict of this English Language Translating student was reduced by Branch 14 of the Supreme Court after a retrial and this he is going to be tried again by a same level branch.
