Revolutionary Guards kill and injure at least 15 fuel carriers (sukhtbar) in Sistan and Baluchestan

Breathing in Confinement: On February 22, 2021, at least 10 Sukhtbars have been killed and 5 others have been seriously injured after their protest gathering was attacked by security forces of Revolutionary Guards.
According to Baloch activists’ campaign, the Revolutionary Guards blocked the way of Baluch fuel carriers by closing the road and digging large holes in zero point border, against which the Sukhtbars protested.
A number of fuel carriers gathered in front of the IRGC headquarter, demanding reopening the border and asking for travel permission. They, however, were shot by IRGC forces.
Reports confirm that at least dozens of people were killed and wounded after the Revolutionary Guards opened fire at them.
According to informed sources, “the Revolutionary Guards asked the Mersad forces for help to scatter the protesters, and they have also arrived in the area with full equipment, and Baloch Sukhtbars are surrounded by border guards.”
According to the latest reports, at least 15 fuel carriers were either killed or wounded at the border checkpoint by the Revolutionary Guards’ agents.
So far, 10 Sukhtbars who were shot to death by IRGC agents have been identified. Five fuel carriers are also admitted in Razi Hospital in Saravan.
Below are the killed fuel carriers’ names:
1- “Yahya Gangozehi”, son of Ali Khan
2- “Abdul Rahman Shahrsan Zehi”,
3- “Abdi Shahresan Zehi”, son of Baharshah
4- “Salman Shahresan Zehi” from Mehrestan
5- “Rahman Bakhsh Dehvari”, son of Baharshah from Suran
6- “Abdul Wahab Damani” from Tabadim
7- “Anas Sahebzadeh”, from Shamsar, Seyedabad
8- Abdul Ghafoor Tutazehi
9- “Mohammad Mirblochzehi”
10- “Mohammad Nusrat Zehi” 17, son of Bashir from Saravan.
The injured fuel carriers are also identified as:
1- “Behzad Azadi”, son of Rasool Bakhsh from Mehrestan
2- “Idris Baloch Zehi”, son of Hassan from Bulbul village
3- “Mohammad Mandazehi” Sarjangal Korin
4- “Salman”, son of the Jngahan from Parkan Soran
5- “Abdul Sattar Dehvari”, son of Khair Mohammad from Kalpurgan village
According to informed sources, Razi Hospital in Saravan is facing severe blood products shortage while the injured fuel carriers are in critical condition.
It needs to be mentioned that, the internet has been shut off in the City of Saravan. And therefore, given the disrupted communications, there is a possibility of an increase in the number of killed and injured people
