Amir Hossein Moradi caught Covid-19 in Greater Tehran Penitentiary

Breathing in Confinement: Amir Hossein Moradi, one of the detainees of November 2019 uprisings, has caught Covid-19 in Greater Tehran Penitentiary. Amir Hossein was in poor physical condition when he was returned back to the Greater Tehran Prison from Shapur Criminal Police Department, and 7 days later, it turned out that he had Covid-19.
According to “Breathing in Confinement”, the news organ of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, Babak Paknia, Amir Hossein Moradi’s lawyer, announced on his Twitter page that his client’s Covid test was positive and that he was admitted to a hospital. He wrote that his client had symptoms such as digestive problems as well as nausea. Mr. Paknia added that his client had been in hospital for a week and that he was in good physical condition.
It should be mentioned that Amir Hossein Moradi is one of the detainees of November 2019 uprisings who along with two of his friends had been sentenced to death.
Amir Hossein had been transferred to Shapoor Criminal Police Department last week and was returned back to Greater Tehran Penitentiary on June 27. When in Shapur Police Department, Amir Hossein’s skin disease relapsed, and he was in a bad condition.
The retrial for the case against these three prisoners which was scheduled to be held on June 29, 2021 was postponed for the fourth time.
