Breathing in Confinement: On July 25, 2021, the activist Yousef Salahshour was arrested in Tabriz- Azerbaijan after security agents searched his home and confiscated some of his personal belongings.
According to Breathing in Confinement, the news organ of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, on July 25, at late night, security agents arrested Yousef Salahshour at his home and transferred him to an unknown location. The agents searched the home and confiscated his personal belongings.
In recent days, many activists have been detained in Azerbaijan province. In addition, security forces have summoned the activists or threatened them over the phone.
The names of some of the detainees whose identities have been verified are: Mohammad Mahmoudi, Davood Rahimi, Olduz Ghasemi, Shahin Barzegar, Amir Sattari, Vahid Abhari, Mojtaba Abdoli, Siamak Kooshi and Shahrooz Barzegar.
It should be noted that on the second day of August, despite the heavy presence of security forces, the people of Tabriz held protest rallies in support of the uprisings in Khuzestan.
