Breathing in Confinement: Zahra Saeedianju, the sister of Milad Saeedianju, one of the protesters killed during the nationwide uprising in 2022, has been detained on the eve of the anniversary of her brother’s death by security forces and transferred to an undisclosed location.
According to “Breathing in Confinement,” the news organ of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, on November 13, 2023, Zahra Saeedianju, the sister of Milad Saeedianju, one of the protesters who was killed during the nationwide uprising in 2022, was detained by security forces.
“Breathing in Confinement,” reported: “on the evening of Tuesday, November 13, on the eve of the anniversary ceremony of Milad Saeedianju’s death, security forces raided Milad’s father’s house and detained his sister, Zahra Saeedianju, and transferred her to an undisclosed location.
Zahra Saeedianju had been previously also arrested in Tehran in July of this year and transferred to Evin Prison. She was eventually released on August 9 from Sepidar Prison in Ahvaz after posting bail.
Milad Saeedianju, 26, a resident of Izeh, was shot dead during the nationwide uprising on November 16, 2022.
