According to the report obtained by \u201cBreathing in Confinement,\u201d this Azerbaijani political prisoner was sent on leave for 3 days after more than a year of imprisonment in Raji Shahr prison in Karaj on September 7.<\/p>\n
The political prisoner had gone on hunger strike since May 18, 2014, for 52 days to demand being transferred to a prison in his home town, Karaj, and suffers from several health problems.<\/p>\n
He had had an open heart surgery before the arrest.<\/p>\n
Amnesty International in an urgent action on July 4, 2014, expressed their concern about the situation of this political prisoner and called for his immediate and unconditional release.<\/p>\n
It is worth mentioning, he was sentenced to 9 years imprisonment by Branch 3 of the Revolutionary Court in Tabriz, on charge of forming an illegal group and propaganda against the regime.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
