Breathing in Confinement – On Saturday, October 26, Six workers\u2019 rights activists who had been arrested during Haft-Tappeh protests and World Labor Day, were temporarily released on bail from Evin and Qarchak prisons awaiting their trials to be finalized.

\nAmir Amirgholi, Amir Hossein Mohammadi Far, Sanaz Allahyari and Sepideh Qolian who had been arrested during Haft Tappeh workers ‘protests, were all previously sentenced to 18 years in prison. Marzieh Amiri and Atefeh Rangriz however, had been arrested on World Labor Day.
\nOf note, Marzieh Amiri has been sentenced to 6 months imprisonment as well as 148 lashes, and Atefeh Rangriz to 11.5 years imprisonment and 74 lashes. Their cases are currently under the appeal process.
\nAmir Amirgholi and Sepideh Gholian were released on bail of 500 million Tomans (roughly equal to $400,000). While Amir Hossein Mohammadi Fard and Sanaz Allahyari, on bail amount of 850 million Tomans (roughly equal to $670,000).
\nThe bail for Atefeh Rangariz was reduced from two billion to 1 billion Tomans. Marzieh Amiri also was released on a similar bail amount.
\nRegarding Ismail Bakhshi, ISNA news agency quoting his lawyer has reported that Mr. Bakhsi’s bail amount being reduced to 750 million Tomans is under the legal process.
