According to VOA, on Thursday, December 5, Shahnaz Akmali wrote on her Twitter page that she was summoned to go to prison to serve her sentence within a maximum of 5 days. She wrote: “During the interrogation, they said, ‘Forget you had a son and I said I can’t forget it.’ And this is a punishment for a mother who cannot forget that she had a son”. She added, “Now I have sons and daughters all over Iran.”<\/p>\n
Shahnaz Akmali was previously sentenced to one year in prison plus a ban on membership in cyberspace by Revolutionary Court.<\/p>\n
Over the last 10 years, Ms. Akmali has always been seeking justice and looking for his son\u2019s murderers. However, on the charge of “propaganda against the system”, she has been sentenced to one year in prison as well being prohibited from leaving the country, having political activities and membership in the cyberspace.<\/p>\n
Mrs. Akmali\u2019s son, Mustafa Karim Beigi, was shot to death in the head on December 27, 2009, concomitant with Ashura, during the protests against the presidential election results.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
