Breathing in Confinement -Zohreh Sayadi, a children\u2019s rights activist (whose activity is focused on the problem of children without identification document) was arrested by the security forces.<\/p>\n
According to ILNA News Agency, Ms. Sayyadi has detained last week and her family members awaiting her charges and date of trial to be announced.<\/p>\n
\u201cLast Tuesday around noon, security forces came to our house and\u00a0after a home inspection\u00a0took Zohreh away,” said Zahra Sayyadi, Zohreh\u2019s sister. She continued, \u201cThey said by the evening she will be at home. Twenty-four hours later, however, Zohreh called and said \u2018I am at Evin prison\u2019\u201d.\u00a0She added that the detainers gave “no explanation” for Zohreh Sayyad’s arrest and that despite the family’s daily visits to the judicial authorities, the explanation is still pending.<\/p>\n
Zohreh Sayadi -an activist in the field of social harms as well as the problems of children without identification documents, has been active in defending Baluchi and Sistani children without ID for many years.<\/p>\n
