According to Hamshahri Online, the new claim of a prisoner, whose death sentence was about to be carried out, caused the court to issue a new verdict.<\/p>\n
As per the report, on November 28, 2013, a man\u2019s dead body was found near the city of Aftab in Tehran. And a man named Farid, along with his brother and two of his friends were arrested and tried in Branch 8 of the Criminal Court of Tehran province. Later, Farid who confessed to the murder was sentenced to death. However, only a few days before his execution, Farid claimed that his brother and one of his friends also were involved in the murder. This led to Farid’s friend, who was in prison, as well as his brother, who had been released after serving his five years prison sentence, also to be sentenced to death by a branch of equal rank in Tehran Criminal Court.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
