Breathing in Confinement: On May 1, 2021, on the occasion of the International Workers’ Day, various groups of people, including workers and retirees, gathered in different cities such as Tehran, Karaj, Shush, Mashhad, Isfahan, Tabriz, Arak, Rasht, Khorramabad, Marivan etc.<\/p>\n
According to Breathing in Confinement, the news organ of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, there was a heavy presence of police and security forces in front of the Ministry of Labor in Tehran, so that people were not allowed to held a gathering and dozens of them were arrested.<\/p>\n
According to an eyewitness, Behboodi Street towards Khosh in Tehran was occupied by security forces in a way that no gathering was possible.
