Breathing in Confinement: On Sunday, January 30, 2022, on the second day of the nationwide teachers\u2019 sit-in, Shaban Mohammadi, a member of the Kurdistan Teachers’ Union from Marivan, was arrested by security agents.<\/p>\n

According to Breathing in Confinement, the news organ of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran , on Sunday, January 30, 2022, on the second day of the nationwide teachers’ sit-in, Shaban Mohammadi, a member of the Kurdistan-Marivan Teachers’ Union, was arrested by security agents.<\/p>\n

Security forces raided Mr. Mohammadi’s home without presenting a search or an arrest warrant.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Concurrently with Mr. Mohammadi\u2019s arrest, security agents searched his home and confiscated his and his wife’s cell phones.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
It should be noted that on Saturday and Sunday, January 29 and 30, in response to the call of the Coordinating Council of \u00a0Iranian Teachers’ Unions, teachers across the country went on strike to protest the government\u2019s non-compliance with their demands. Teachers will also hold nationwide rallies in front of the Education Departments in various cities and provinces on Monday, January 31st.<\/p>\n
