According to Breathing in Confinement, the news organ of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, Shakila Monfared, a political prisoner in Qarchak prison in Varamin, was sentenced to imprisonment and fined for the case brought against her while in jail.<\/p>\n
According to the verdict issued by Branch 26 of the Revolutionary Court in Tehran, presided over by Judge Iman Afshari, Ms. Monfared was sentenced to 2 years and 8 months in prison on charges of membership in opposition groups and to pay a fine of 10 million Tomans for spreading lies.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
