Breathing in Confinement: On Tuesday, March 1, 2022, concurrently the sixth day of the war in Ukraine, a group of political prisoners imprisoned in Rajai Shahr Prison issued a statement in which they expressed their support for the Ukrainian people and their “fight for peace.”<\/p>\n

According to “Breathing in Confinement”, the news organ of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, in a statement issued on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, concurrently with the sixth day of the War in Ukraine Saeed Masouri, Motaleb Ahmadian, Saeed Eghbali, Mohammad Ali Mansouri, Hassan Sadeghi and Ahad Barzegar, political prisoners in Rajai Shahr Prison, expressed their support for the Ukrainian people. They wrote: “It\u2019s people who are the main determinants of global politics, not the governments.”<\/p>\n
“The power balance is determined by the people\u2019s resistance, sturdiness and braveness, not by nuclear weapons, ballistic missiles or appeasement,” says the statement.<\/p>\n
Political prisoners in Rajai Shahr Prison wrote in support of the Ukrainian people and their courageous fight: “The Ukrainian people need peace, tranquility and, of course, freedom in their own country. This need for peace and tranquility is so serious and vital that when Putin has no sense of the people\u2019s power and leaves no other choices for them, the Ukrainian people fight with all their might for peace.”<\/p>\n
