Breathing in Confinement: Mehdi Salehi, a political prisoner sentenced to death, who had fallen into a coma after receiving a wrong medication injection in prison, died. Mehdi was one of the detainees of the January 2017 protests. His body was buried in a new cemetery in Yazdanshahr, on Friday, April 15, under security measures.<\/p>\n
According to “Breathing in Confinement”, the news organ of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, Mehdi Salehi, a political prisoner sentenced to death and one of the detainees of the January 2017 protests in Khomeini Shahr, died in prison.<\/p>\n
Mehdi Salehi was serving his sentence in Khomeini Shahr Prison in Isfahan. He had been sentenced to death as well as five years in prison on charges of “moharebeh” and “corruption on earth”.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
