Breathing in Confinement: At dawn on Sunday, May 22, 2022, the death sentence of a prisoner convicted of murder was carried out in Shirvan Prison in North Khorasan Province.<\/p>\n
According to Breathing in Confinement, the news organ of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, on Sunday, May 22, 2022, a prisoner was executed in Shirvan Prison for murder.<\/p>\n
The prisoner has been identified as Mohammad Morad Fazeli, 33 years old.<\/p>\n
“Mohammad Murad Fazeli, 33, father of 2, had been accused of murder in a dispute over agricultural land in 2016 and had been since in prison,” said an informed source.<\/p>\n
According to the annual report of the Statistics Center of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, at least 383 prisoners were executed during the past Persian year (March 20, 2021- March 20, 2022) of whom only 34 were announced by the state media, and the rest were carried out in secret.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
