Breathing in Confinement: At dawn on Monday, June 20, a political prisoner named Firuz Mousaloo, from the Ghatur district of the City of Khoy, was secretly executed.<\/p>\n
According to Breathing in Confinement, the news organ of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, the political prisoner Firuz\u00a0 Mousaloo was secretly executed.<\/p>\n
Fars News Agency confirmed the execution of this political prisoner in a report quoting the Public Relations of the Judiciary of West Azerbaijan Province. The news agency did not mention the name of this political prisoner.<\/p>\n

On Saturday, June 18, Firuz Mousaloo had been transferred from Urmia Prison to an unknown location.<\/p>\n
The last court hearing of Mr. Mousaloo was held in March 2022 in Branch 2 of the Revolutionary Court of Urmia. The court sentenced Mr. Mousaloo to death for moharebeh through membership in a Kurdish party.<\/p>\n
The sentence was notified to Mr. Mousaloo on Monday, March 7, 2022 in Urmia Prison.<\/p>\n
On Wednesday, January 1, 2020, after five months of interrogation, Firuz Mousaloo was transferred from the Revolutionary Guards Intelligence Detention Center in Urmia to the city’s central prison.<\/p>\n
He had been arrested on July 11, 2019, after reporting himself to the IRGC in Sardasht City, and then transferred to the IRGC Intelligence Detention Center in Urmia.<\/p>\n
