According to “Breathing in Confinement”, the news organ of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, two female prisoners, <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>accused of drug-related crimes, were executed on Thursday, December 8, 2022, in Semnan Central Prison.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

“Breathing in Confinement” is trying to identify the two executed prisoners.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/div>\n

According to the annual report of the Statistics Center of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, in the last one year (October 10, 2021-October 10, 2022), at least 537 prisoners were executed in various Iranian prisons.<\/span><\/span> Only 9% of the executions were officially announced and 91% of them were executed in secret.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
