Breathing in Confinement \u2013 Behnam Ebrahimzadeh, political prisoner at Rajai Shahr Prison was transferred to political prisoners\u2019 section after 24 days of wet and 2 days of dry hunger strike.<\/p>\n
According to the report of \u201cBreathing in Confinement\u201d, the imprisoned labor activist was on hunger strike since August 12th in protest at being kept at non-political prisoners\u2019 section and started his dry hunger strike on September 2nd.<\/p>\n
He accepted to continue his hunger strike in wet form yesterday when the authorities promised him that he will be transferred to political prisoners\u2019 section soon.<\/p>\n
Shahrokh Zamani, Afshin Heyratian and Khaled Hardani, political prisoners at ward 12 of Rajai Shahr Prison went on hunger strike in solidarity with Behnam Ebrahimzadeh on September 1st and 2nd.<\/p>\n
Behnam Ebrahimzadeh was transferred to Moghaddasi Court at Evin prison and then to ward 209 on May 3rd.<\/p>\n
He was under interrogation until August 12th on charge of disturbing the prison order.<\/p>\n
According to informed sources this was because of the raid of the prison guard into ward 350 on April 17th.<\/p>\n
Behnam Ebrahimzadeh, labor activist was sentenced to 5 years in prison on charge of collusion and gathering against the national security by the appeal court. Previously he was sentenced to 20 years in prison by the revolutionary court.<\/p>\n
