According to ‘Breathing in a Confinement,’ the news outlet of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran , Sepideh Rashnou has been sentenced to imprisonment and payment of a cash fine.<\/p>\n
Ms. Rashnou said that she has been sentenced to six months of imprisonment, a fine of ten million Toman in cash, a one-year ban on using Instagram, and the permanent deletion of her current Instagram page.<\/p>\n
This student activist has commented on the legal process of her case, stating that the issuance of a new six-month disciplinary imprisonment sentence will also remove the suspension of her previous sentence of three years and seven months of imprisonment.<\/p>\n
The court hearing on charges against Sepideh Rashnou, related to allegations of spreading anti-government propaganda and encouraging people to fornication and depravity, took place on October 2 in her absence in the Judicial Complex of Evin in Tehran.<\/p>\n
Ms. Rashnou had previously been notified of her charges by Branch 1 of the Prosecutor’s Office in Evin Court.<\/p>\n
