The identity of this prisoner, who was arrested five years ago on charges of &#8220;murder&#8221; and sentenced to death, has been confirmed by &#8220;Breathing in Confinement&#8221; as Ali Shabani.<\/p>\n<p>Ali Shabani was married and the father of two children.<\/p>\n<p>As of the time of this report, the execution of this prisoner has not been announced by official sources.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Statistics Center of the Prisoners&#8217; Rights League in Iran, at least 46 prisoners have been executed in various prisons over the past seven days. The Prisoners&#8217; Rights League in Iran, warning of a new and increasing wave of executions amid tensions with Israel, calls on international authorities to take decisive action to prevent further executions.<\/p>\n<div class=\"flex max-w-full flex-col flex-grow\">\n<div class=\"min-h-[20px] text-message flex w-full flex-col items-end gap-2 whitespace-pre-wrap break-words [.text-message+&amp;]:mt-5 overflow-x-auto\" dir=\"auto\" data-message-author-role=\"assistant\" data-message-id=\"ec8b6fdf-7e08-41c4-b260-db2fadd79eea\">\n<div class=\"flex w-full flex-col gap-1 empty:hidden first:pt-[3px]\">\n<div class=\"markdown prose w-full break-words dark:prose-invert light\">\n<p>According to the annual report of the Statistics Center of the Prisoners\u2019 Rights League in Iran, at least 848 citizens were executed in 2023.
