The identities of two of them have been confirmed as Mohammad Ansari from the village of Qeshlaq near Tabriz and Ali Mahdavian from the city of Hashtrud. <em>Breathing in Confinement<\/em>\u00a0had previously reported the execution of Mohammad Ansari Qeshlaq, son of Allahverdi.<\/p>\n<p>The identities of two Afghan nationals who were also executed are still under investigation. Ali Mahdavian had been detained for three years, and Mohammad Ansari had been detained for four years before being sentenced to death.<\/p>\n<p>As of the time of this report, the execution of this prisoner has not been announced by official sources.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Statistics Center of the Prisoners\u2019 Rights League in Iran, at least 46 prisoners have been executed in various prisons over the past seven days. The Prisoners\u2019 Rights League in Iran, warning of a new and increasing wave of executions amid tensions with Israel, calls on international authorities to take decisive action to prevent further executions.<\/p>\n<div class=\"flex max-w-full flex-col flex-grow\">\n<div class=\"min-h-[20px] text-message flex w-full flex-col items-end gap-2 whitespace-pre-wrap break-words [.text-message+&amp;]:mt-5 overflow-x-auto\" dir=\"auto\" data-message-author-role=\"assistant\" data-message-id=\"ec8b6fdf-7e08-41c4-b260-db2fadd79eea\">\n<div class=\"flex w-full flex-col gap-1 empty:hidden first:pt-[3px]\">\n<div class=\"markdown prose w-full break-words dark:prose-invert light\">\n<p>According to the annual report of the Statistics Center of the Prisoners\u2019 Rights League in Iran, at least 848 citizens were executed in 2023.
