Breathing in Confinement: At dawn on Monday, August 5, 2024, two prisoners were executed in Adelabad Prison, Shiraz, on charges of “murder.”<\/p>\n
According to “Breathing in Confinement,” the news organ of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, the execution of two prisoners was carried out at dawn on Monday, August 5, 2024, in Adelabad Prison, Shiraz.
\nThe identities of these prisoners, Hossein (Abdol) Maghami, 42 years old, and Alireza Rihani, son of Ghorban, have been confirmed by “Breathing in Confinement.” Hossein Maghami from Shushtar, Khuzestan, and Alireza Rihani from Kavar, Shiraz, had previously been arrested and sentenced to death on charges of murder.
\nWith the identification of these two prisoners, the total number of executions carried out in August reached 128.<\/p>\n
As of the time of this report, the execution of these prisoners has not been announced by official resources.<\/p>\n
