The identity of one of these prisoners, Hassan Khodabandehlu, has been confirmed by Breathing in Confinement.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The second prisoner executed on this day was a citizen of Afghanistan, whose identity is still under investigation by Breathing in Confinement.<\/p>\n<p>According to the report from Breathing in Confinement, Hassan Khodabandehlu, a resident of Hamadan, had been arrested two years ago on charges of murder during a fight and was sentenced to death.<\/p>\n<p>As of the time of this report, the execution of these prisoners has not been announced by official resources.<\/p>\n<p>According to the annual report of the Statistics Center of the Prisoners\u2019 Rights League in Iran, at least 848 citizens were executed in 2023.
