According to \u201cBreathing in Confinement,\u201d the news agency of the Prisoners\u2019 Rights League in Iran, at dawn on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, a prisoner was executed in Qarveh Prison. The identity of the prisoner has been confirmed as Mehdi Cheraghi by \u201cBreathing in Confinement.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n According to the reporter from \u201cBreathing in Confinement,\u201d \u201cMehdi Cheraghi, a resident of Qarveh and son of Ahmad, was arrested seven years ago on the charge of killing his farming partner, a 64-year-old man, and was sentenced to death.\u201d<\/p>\n As of the time of this report, the execution of this prisoner has not been announced by official resources.<\/p>\n According to the annual report of the Statistics Center of the Prisoners\u2019 Rights League in Iran, at least 848 citizens were executed in 2023.
