Breathing in Confinement: At dawn on Wednesday, November 13, the death sentence of a prisoner who had been convicted of \u201cmurder\u201d was carried out in Tabriz Prison.<\/p>\n
According to Breathing in Confinement, the news outlet of the Prisoners\u2019 Rights League in Iran, at least one prisoner accused of \u201cmurder\u201d was executed in Tabriz Prison at dawn on Wednesday, November 13, 2024. The identity of the prisoner, Salar Shami Pour, was confirmed by Breathing in Confinement. Salar Shami Pour, son of Karam, had previously been arrested and sentenced to death on charges of murder. Contrary to earlier statements, the victim\u2019s family declined to grant clemency at the last moment, and the issued sentence was carried out at dawn on Wednesday, November 13, in the courtyard of Tabriz Prison.<\/p>\n
