Breathing in Confinement: On Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at least one prisoner, arrested and sentenced to death on charges of “murder,” was transferred to solitary confinement in Adelabad Prison, Shiraz, in preparation for execution.<\/p>\n
According to Breathing in Confinement, the news outlet of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, this prisoner has been identified as Amrollah Dehghan.<\/p>\n
Amrollah Dehghan, a resident of Kavar, was previously arrested and sentenced to death on charges of murder. His execution is scheduled to take place tomorrow in Adelabad Prison, Shiraz.<\/p>\n

Annual Report on Executions in Iran<\/strong><\/p>\n According to the annual report of the Statistics Center of the Prisoners\u2019 Rights League in Iran, at least 848 citizens were executed in 2023.
