The identity of the prisoner has been confirmed by Breathing in Confinement as Sina Shamsollahi, the 41-year-old son of Gheiabali, from the village of Sharifloo.<\/p>\n<p>According to Breathing in Confinement reporter citing an informed source, after Sina Shamsollahi\u2019s brother was killed in a conflict, Sina became involved in a dispute with an individual named Mehrdad Abbasi over the matter. During this altercation, Mehrdad Abbasi was killed. Sina Shamsollahi was arrested a year and five months ago on charges of murder and was later sentenced to death in court. The victim\u2019s family refused to pardon Sina, and he was executed at dawn on Wednesday, December 4, in Miandoab Prison.<\/p>\n<p><strong>No official report<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As of the time of this report, the execution of this prisoner has not been announced by official resources.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Annual Report on Executions in Iran<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>According to the annual report of the Statistics Center of the\u00a0<strong>Prisoners\u2019 Rights League in Iran<\/strong>, at least\u00a0<strong>848 citizens\u00a0<\/strong>were executed in 2023.
