Breathing in Confinement: At dawn on Thursday, December 26, the death sentences of two prisoners, previously arrested and convicted on \u201cdrug related charges\u201d, were carried out in Jiroft Prison.<\/p>\n
According to Breathing in Confinement, the news outlet of the Prisoners\u2019 Rights League in Iran, the two prisoners were executed early on Thursday morning, December 26, in Jiroft Prison for charges related to \u201cdrug offenses.\u201d Their identities, Saman Fakhri and Asad Amini, were confirmed by Breathing in Confinement.<\/p>\n
Based on information from Breathing in Confinement reporters, Saman Fakhri, from Baneh, and Asad Amini, from Sardasht, were previously arrested in a joint case on charges related to \u201cdrug offenses\u201d and sentenced to death. On Tuesday, December 24, the two prisoners were transferred to solitary confinement in preparation for the execution. Their sentences were carried out at dawn on Thursday, December 26, in Jiroft Prison.<\/p>\n
