Additionally, according to reports from Halwash, the other three prisoners\u2014Hossein Salarzehi from Zahedan (arrested five years ago), Javad Ghaffari from Mashhad, and Ahmad Ghafran\u2014were also arrested in separate cases for \u201cdrug offenses\u201d and sentenced to death.<\/p>\n<p>The executions of these prisoners were carried out at dawn on Thursday, December 26, in Gonabad Prison.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>No official report<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As of the time of this report, the execution of these prisoners has not been announced by official resources.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Annual Report on Executions in Iran<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>According to the annual report of the Statistics Center of the\u00a0<strong>Prisoners\u2019 Rights League in Iran<\/strong>, at least\u00a0<strong>848 citizens\u00a0<\/strong>were executed in 2023.
