\u201cBreathing in Confinement\u201d: At dawn on Wednesday, January 1, the death sentences of at least two prisoners who had been arrested and convicted of \u201cmurder\u201d were carried out in Dieselabad Prison, Kermanshah.<\/p>\n

According to \u201cBreathing in Confinement,\u201d the news outlet of the Prisoners\u2019 Rights League in Iran, on the morning of Wednesday, January 1, two prisoners were executed in Kermanshah Prison on charges of \u201cmurder.\u201d The identities of these prisoners have been confirmed as Meysam Farhadi and Reza Bakhtiari.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n As reported by \u201cBreathing in Confinement,\u201d quoting the human rights organization Hengaw, Meysam Farhadi Farashi, a 29-year-old from Farash, a village near Harsin, and Reza Bakhtiari, from Kermanshah, had previously been arrested and sentenced to death for \u201cmurder.\u201d These two prisoners were executed secretly at dawn on Wednesday, January 1, in Dieselabad Prison, Kermanshah, without prior notice or the opportunity for a final meeting with their families.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n No official report<\/strong><\/p>\n As of the time of this report, the execution of these prisoners has not been announced by official resources.<\/p>\n Annual Report on Executions in Iran<\/strong><\/p>\n According to the annual report of the Statistics Center of the\u00a0Prisoners\u2019 Rights League in Iran<\/strong>, at least\u00a0848 citizens\u00a0<\/strong>were executed in 2023.
