The identity of this prisoner has been confirmed as Afshin Amiri by Breathing in Confinement.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Breathing in Confinement&#8217;s reporter, Afshin Amiri, son of Mohammad Reza, was a resident of Golestan village, a district of Firouzabad, Kermanshah. He was arrested six years ago on drug-related charges and sentenced to death. The sentence was carried out at dawn on Sunday, February 2, in Kermanshah Prison.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class=\"mb-2 flex gap-3 empty:hidden -ml-2\">\n<div class=\"items-center justify-start rounded-xl p-1 flex\">\n<div class=\"flex items-center\"><strong>No official report<\/strong><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>As of the time of this report, the execution of this prisoner has not been announced by official resources.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Annual Report on Executions in Iran<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>According to the annual report of the Statistics Center of the\u00a0<strong>Prisoners\u2019 Rights League in Iran<\/strong>, at least\u00a0<strong>848 citizens\u00a0<\/strong>were executed in 2023.
