The identities of these prisoners, Ahmad Hanafi and Asghar Dehghani, have been confirmed by Breathing in Confinement.<\/p>\n<p>According to received information, Ahmad Hanafi, a resident of Taybad village in Razavi Khorasan, and Asghar Dehghani, a resident of Isfahan, had previously been arrested on charges related to drug offenses and sentenced to death. The sentences were carried out at dawn on Saturday, February 22, in Dastgerd Prison, Isfahan.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class=\"mb-2 flex gap-3 empty:hidden -ml-2\">\n<div class=\"items-center justify-start rounded-xl p-1 flex\">\n<div class=\"flex items-center\"><strong>No official report<\/strong><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>As of the time of this report, the execution of these prisoners has not been announced by official resources.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Annual Report on Executions in Iran<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>According to the annual report of the Statistics Center of the\u00a0<strong>Prisoners\u2019 Rights League in Iran<\/strong>, at least\u00a0<strong>848 citizens\u00a0<\/strong>were executed in 2023.
