The identities of the executed individuals have been confirmed as Mehnaz Kakaei and Ali Soofian.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>According to information received by Breathing in Confinement, Mehnaz Kakaei, 24 years old and a resident of Isfahan, was arrested in 2020 on charges of murdering her husband and was sentenced to death. Ali Soofian, from Shiraz, was arrested three years ago on drug-related charges and sentenced to death. The sentences were carried out at dawn on Saturday, 28 April, in Dastgerd Prison in Isfahan.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"flex items-center\"><strong>No official report<\/strong><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/article>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>As of the time of this report, the execution of this prisoner has not been announced by official resources.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Annual Report on Executions in Iran<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-pm-slice=\"0 0 []\">According to the annual report by the Statistics Centre of the Prisoners\u2019 Rights League in Iran, at least 1,170 individuals were executed in Iran in 2024.
