The identity of the executed prisoner has been confirmed by the Breathing in Confinement as Moein Ashrafi.<\/p>\n<p>According to Breathing in Confinement, Moein Ashrafi, son of Javad, aged 32, was from the village of Qaleh Agha Abdollah in Bastam. He was arrested five years ago following a group altercation that resulted in a murder, and he was later sentenced to death. A reliable source stated that Ashrafi\u2019s family had offered 3 billion tomans in exchange for the victim\u2019s family\u2019s consent to halt the execution. The victim\u2019s widow reportedly expressed willingness to resolve the case for the sake of her children\u2019s future. However, the victim\u2019s family ultimately refused to grant forgiveness.<\/p>\n<p>Moein Ashrafi had served as a ward representative in Shahroud Prison and was known for his charitable efforts and support for other inmates.
