Breathing in Confinement \u2013 On Sunday, 13 April 2025, at least one prisoner convicted of drug-related offences and sentenced to death was transferred to solitary confinement in Kerman Prison in preparation for the execution.<\/p>\n
According to a report by Breathing in Confinement, the news outlet of the Prisoners\u2019 Rights League in Iran, the prisoner was transferred to solitary confinement in Shahab Prison in Kerman for the implementation of the death sentence. The identity of the prisoner has been confirmed as Aboubakr Sehbakhsh.<\/p>\n
Aboubakr Sehbakhsh, 36, married and the son of Abdul, was arrested four years ago on charges related to drug offences and subsequently sentenced to death.<\/p>\n

Annual Report on Executions in Iran<\/strong><\/p>\n According to the annual report by the Statistics Centre of the Prisoners\u2019 Rights League in Iran, at least 1,170 individuals were executed in Iran in 2024.
