Rouhollah Moradian \u2013 from Andimeshk<br \/>\n2. Reza Sarlak \u2013 from Kuhdasht<br \/>\n3. Ali Doustian \u2013 from Harsin<br \/>\n4. Alireza Shahbazi (45 years old) \u2013 from Kuhdasht<br \/>\n5. Ghorban Karami Nasr (50 years old) \u2013 from Kuhdasht<\/p>\n<p>Reliable sources suggest that the number of prisoners transferred to solitary confinement may exceed five, but as of the time this report was prepared, the identities of additional individuals have not been confirmed. Investigations are ongoing.<\/p>\n<p>These individuals were previously arrested in connection with drug-related cases and sentenced to death through judicial proceedings widely criticised for lacking fair trial standards. Human rights organisations have repeatedly expressed concern over Iran\u2019s extensive use of the death penalty in drug-related cases, often without even the most basic guarantees of due process and the rights of the accused.<\/p>\n<p>Breathing in Confinement expresses deep concern over the rising number of executions and urges human rights organisations, international bodies, and human rights defenders to take immediate action and apply diplomatic pressure to prevent these executions.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Annual Report on Executions in Iran<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-pm-slice=\"0 0 []\">According to the annual report by the Statistics Centre of the Prisoners\u2019 Rights League in Iran, at least 1,170 individuals were executed in Iran in 2024.
