Their identities have been confirmed as Rahim Rahimnejad and Abubakr Shahbakhsh.<\/p>\n<p>As reported, Rahim (Yadgar) Rahimnejad, from Baneh, had been arrested two years ago after he accepted 40 million tomans in exchange for transporting a passenger to Tehran. Upon approaching a checkpoint, the passenger fled, leading to Rahimnejad\u2019s arrest on drug trafficking charges. Though the fleeing passenger was arrested a year later, Rahimnejad\u2019s death sentence was upheld by the Supreme Court.<\/p>\n<p>The second prisoner, Abubakr Shahbakhsh, 36, son of Abdol, a married man from Sarjangal, was arrested four years ago on drug-related charges and sentenced to death.<\/p>\n<p>Both executions were carried out at dawn on Tuesday, 15 April 2025, in Shahab Prison, Kerman.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"mb-2 flex gap-3 empty:hidden -ml-2\">\n<div class=\"items-center justify-start rounded-xl p-1 flex\">\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"flex items-center\"><strong>No official report<\/strong><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/article>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>As of the time of this report, the execution of these prisoners has not been announced by official resources.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Annual Report on Executions in Iran<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-pm-slice=\"0 0 []\">According to the annual report by the Statistics Centre of the Prisoners\u2019 Rights League in Iran, at least 1,170 individuals were executed in Iran in 2024.
